Samantha Kaine

Samantha Kaine is a Jamaican-born Canadian, award-winning independent film and television producer working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, cultural policy, and economic inclusion in Canada’s screen-based industries. She is the Founder and CEO of IMPACT (Independent Media Producers Association of Creative Talent), a federally incorporated national non-profit whose accelerator programs equip African, Caribbean and Black producers and creators to integrate AI responsibly into their practice and protect their intellectual property. She serves on the AI Committee of the Coalition for the Diversity of Cultural Expressions (CDCE) and on the board of the English Language Arts Network (ELAN), and holds an Applied Graduate Certificate in AI and Analytics for Leaders from Schulich ExecEd at York University. Her policy work has spanned Telefilm Canada, the Canada Media Fund, and the Canadian Human Rights Commission.
