Humanity interests, inspires and disappoints me. We have the capacity to create both beauty and cause destruction. Making documentary films is one way in which I try to make sense of this world. I believe that film has the power to reach the hearts and minds of audiences to bring positive change. As a filmmaker, I use the lens as a tool to challenge perceptions and bear witness. Our film Mother City launched in 2024 and tells the story of inequality and the power of activism in Cape Town with a vision for social impact. I am program director of the UCT Sunshine Cinema Film Impact course and part of the Climate Story Labs Africa team at DFM.
