Kelly Walker

Kelly is an academic, educator and digital artist whose work blends animation, storytelling, creative practice and intertextuality. With more than a decade of experience in higher education, her career spans teaching, curriculum development, academic leadership and artistic practice, with a particular interest in how meaning is constructed through image, sound, narrative, cultural resonance and form. Her creative and academic practice explores the blending of sound and moving image, and the ways different modes of creativity speak to, borrow from and transform one another. Her work also engages with feminine relationality, feminine histories, and the ways female experience can shape ways of knowing, being and relating to others. At the heart of her practice is an interest in how creative forms exist in conversation with one another, and how stories emerge through relationships between people, images, sounds, histories, cultures and the stories that came before them.
