Born in Casablanca. Graduate from Louis Lumière Film School (Paris) and Sorbonne nouvelle University (Paris).
Cinematographer & Director of short films in France and Morocco.
Since 2008, he’s the Artistic director of Salé International Women Film Festival.
Since 2012, he’s the General Delegate of Agadir International Documentary Film Festival (FIDADOC) and runs its various training and mentoring programs dedicated to emerging African filmmakers (La Ruche documentaire).
In 2018, he founded the production company CINEMA SALAMA in Tangier to expand his support to African new voices in documentary filmmaking.
He has been juror at several international festivals: FESPACO, Cannes, El Gouna, CPH: Dox… He’s a founding member of AFRICA REAL COLLECTIVE which gathers the main operators of African documentary cinema.
