As a filmmaker and director, she looks for stories that build connection, inspire, activate, and make a difference. Her work has been awarded the Peabody, DuPont, Iris, and Cable Ace awards. For her portfolio of work, Lorie was awarded Harvard's Nieman Fellowship in Journalism, in which she joined 23 other filmmakers and journalists from around the world, to learn and connect with each other and study at Harvard University.
