Naomi Gumede is a Durban-based film director and humanitarian committed to powerful,
African-centred storytelling. Her work spans documentary, fiction, and visual art, often
exploring identity, healing, and transformation. She holds a Master’s in Film Studies
(Chevening, UK) and is the founder of Sapere Aude. Naomi’s storytelling is deeply personal
and poetic, rooted in truth, and inspired by community, ancestral memory, and the ongoing
fight for emotional and spiritual liberation.
