Minenhle Luthuli has an Honours Degree in Motion Picture Medium from AFDA, the South African School for Creative Economy where she majored in Screenwriting. After graduating she went on to intern for the one of South African soapies, Isidingo that gave her a break as a television writer. She has since written for Durban Gen and The Estate and has also ventured into script coordinating. She also owns a production company, Minenhle Luthuli Narratives where she produces short films and hopes to venture into feature films soon. Her first short film she wrote, directed and produced through her company, Heart Attack, had a double premiere at Zanzibar International Film Festival and Durban International Film Festival in 2021. It has gone to screen at multiple other festivals both nationally and internationally.
