Bio

Kathleen Burke is an NYC/LA based writer/producer and co-founder of Rare Bird Studios, a global premium content studio dedicated to culturally inclusive and international storytelling. Her work has been featured in over 50 international film festivals and programs including Canneseries, the Tribeca Film Institute, Hollyshorts Film Festival, Rome International Film Festival, Denver Film Festival, the Hollywood Critics Association, SeriesFest Television Festival, LA Film International, The Academy Awards Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting, and The Sloan Foundation for the Arts.

Kathleen is the producer of the independent television series HUDSON FALLS (Richard Kind, Jessica Hecht, Chiké Okonkwo, William Sadler), which won Best Series at the 2020 LA Shorts International Film Festival and was a selection of the 2021 Cannes International Series and SeriesFest television festivals. She is the co-founder of the Creative Equity Initiative, a non-profit arts advocacy organization currently working in alliance with the Black Equity Team of Warner Brothers Discovery to foster greater diversity practices throughout the global media landscape.

Kathleen is currently developing multiple film, series, and documentary projects across four continents. She is a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
