Representing the Eastern Cape Development Corporation (ECDC), Ms Janice V. Jonathan, leads the Investment Promotion Mandate with the express vision to elevate the Eastern Cape Province’s attractiveness as a film location destination, highlight support Film Incentives for local and international filmmakers, and mobilise strategic partnerships for growth of the Film Value Chain in the province.
Janice is a driven and ambitious professional with a 16-year track record in international trade and investment promotion, trade and investment advocacy, and economic development. With a Master of Commerce and Master of International Business from the University of Sydney, and extensive experience in trade and investment facilitation at senior management and executive levels in the public sector, Janice has successfully implemented numerous Special Economic Zone Projects and international business marketing initiatives.
Her previous roles at the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition include Director: Export Promotion, Acting Chief Operations Officer: Trade and Investment South Africa, Director: Special Economic Zones Stakeholder Management, and Deputy Director of Industrial Development Zones, among others.
