Isabelle Rorke

Isabelle Rorke is Deputy Chair of AnimationSA, heading up the Unit: Social Impact and Human Capital Innovation running an animation incubator nurturing and developing 10 first time animation TV series producers with the aim of producing their African animated TV series. The incubator runs multiple internships to develop unemployed young black and majority female graduates in preparation for the first productions.

The internship currency hosts 70 interns in total. Isabelle conducted industry value chain analysis which resulted in a process innovation of the old animation value chain and the creation of the inverted value chain model. In 2023 she lectured on this model for Wits university for their Intermediaries module and consulted to KZN Film on designing the provincial animation growth strategy along with Red Ibis and education and research specialist company.
