Iman Djionne is writer and director from Dakar, Senegal. After a couple of short films including ‘Boxing Girl’, selected in multiple festivals, Iman is currently developing her first feature film. She is also a casting director for local and international productions such as the recent ‘Banel & Adama’ by Ramata-Toulaye Sy (Cannes’ Official Competition ’23) or the Oscar nominated ‘Me Captain’ by Matteo Garrone (also Silver Lion for Best Director and Best Young Actor Award in Venice ’23). She is a Locarno Filmmaker’s Academy, Berlinale Talents and Cannes’ La Fabrique alumna.
