Guy Steer

Guy Steer is the Supervising Sound Editor and Owner / Director at Rechord Post, a premier Sound Post-Production Facility, with Studios in both Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa.

Guy started his career in the UK in 2001 in Production Sound and moved to Audio Post-Production Sound in 2005.

He studied a Diploma in Music Technology at Goldsmiths University London and also studied a BA in Sound Arts and Design at the University of the Arts, London, where he also worked as an Associate lecture after graduating.

With over 20 years of experience in the Film, Television, and the Commercial Industries, Guy brings a deep expertise in Sound Design and Mix, crafting Immersive Soundscapes that elevate storytelling.

At Rechord Post, he leads a team dedicated to delivering World-Class Sound Design, Editing, Foley and Mixing Services.

Known for his meticulous attention to detail and creative problem-solving, Guy has contributed to numerous high-profile projects across various genres, collaborating with Filmmaker’s from around the World, including the UK, USA, Canada, France, Germany, Sweden, Brazil and China, to name a few.

His work reflects a passion for Sound innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence, making him a trusted partner for directors, producers, and creatives throughout the industry
