Established 1994, Barentsfilm focuses on art house films and international co-productions. Barentsfilm has produced most of acclaimed Norwegian director Knut Erik Jensen`s films, including festival and box-office hit “Cool and Crazy”. Occasionally Barentsfilm ventures into mainstream projects co-producing films such as “Dead Snow” and “Kill Buljo”, both by Norwegian Tommy Wirkola Barentsfilm has also co-produced Egyptian “Amal” by M. Siam, Opening Film IDFA 2017, The Lebanese Feature Films “1982” by Oualid Mouaness, NETPAC Award Toronto 2019, and “Costa Brava Lebanon” by Mounia Akl, World Premiere Venice 2021, as well as Bangladeshi “Day After” by Kamar Ahmad Simon, World Premiere IDFA 2021.
