ECPACC, established under the ECPACC Act no.6 of2000 which aims to promote, support, develop, protect, and preserve arts and culture in the Eastern Cape. Its values include artistic freedom, courtesy, empowering, honesty, integrity, innovation, and prompt declaration of interest. ECPACC improves institutions by re-engineering the sector, reviewing policies, developing fundraising strategies, empowering indigenous, disadvantaged, and marginalized groups, supporting artists, and implementing incubation programs for creative and cultural industries. ECPACC also focuses on funding arts, culture related project, supporting artists and crafters, providing financial assistance and supporting Eastern Cape film practitioners. It targets the cultural and creative industry, focusing on vulnerable sectors like rural women, youth, and people with disabilities. Priority is given to 16 poverty sites identified by the Provincial Anti-Poverty Strategy. ECPACC's activities align with the province's Anti-Poverty Strategy.
