Jacintha de Nobrega is one of South Africa’s leading female producers and an alumnus of the Los Angeles Film School. de Nobrega founded Arclight Productions, a film and television production company based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. Her debut film went on to win the coveted Best Film and Best Director awards (The Simon Mabhunu Sabela Award) in July 2019. She produced Siba’s Adventures, a food television series for Food Network International and the SAFTA-nominated Durban Beach Rescue 2 for The Travel Channel. Her recent doccie feature London Recruits is a co-production with the UK-based Barefoot Rascals and being released in February 2023. de Nobrega is very active in the South African film industry and has served on the board of the Durban FilmMart Institute and Swift (Sisters Working in Film and Television).
