Kindergarten films was founded in 2013 by three colleagues who had worked together in commercials. It’s not a production company in the usual sense of the word, but rather an incubator of ideas, and a place to park our projects and dreams. Since its inception we’ve written screenplays and developed a number of projects which are featured on our website https://kindergartenfilms.com. One of these is ‘The Spiral House’, a feature-length historical drama adapted from a South African novel, which won the Thuthuka co-production development award at the end of 2022 from the NFVF and the Netherlands Film Fund, and is currently in development with Up A Gumtree Productions and Hazazah Pictures.
