Big World Cinema, established in 1994, has produced and distributed award-winning feature films, documentaries, TV series and shorts, many of which have screened at festivals such as Cannes, Sundance, Berlinale, Venice and Toronto. They have worked with over 150 directors in 30 African countries. Their films have been theatrically released globally including USA, Canada, Japan, Brazil, Germany, UK and France and sold to channels and platforms such as Canal +, Channel 4, Showtime, Netflix, Amazon, PBS. MNET, Criterion Channel and BBC. They are currently developing projects with filmmakers across the continent.
