Formation Animation (Pty) Ltd. was founded in 2017 to create world-class animated content that is distinctly African and it aims to expand the scope of animation by creating incredible content from an African angle. Our flagship project Azania Rises is a sci-fi 3D animation series, set in 2100 Africa now Azania. Our team is comprised of creatives across Africa with our head office in Johannesburg. Our short film has been selected for five (5) film festival screenings in 2022 and won best animation twice; at the Accra Indie Film Fest (AIFF) and the Out of Africa International Film Festival (OOAIFF) Nairobi.
