Alex Dean Fynn

Alex Fynn is an International Emmy-nominated and SAFTA-winning director, editor, and producer drawn to visually bold storytelling that resonates across cultures. His work spans narrative shorts, music videos, and long-form collaborations. He recently completed Fracture, an NFVF-supported psychological short film now heading into its festival run, and is currently producing Rain Animals, a Thuthuka-funded South Africa–Netherlands co-production directed by Louw Venter. In 2021, he co-founded Pretty Neat with creative partner Tassyn Munro Fynn, where they are developing a slate of projects including a true-crime series by Bantuza Mchunu, a feature with visual artist Thania Petersen, and a meta-genre bending comedy created by Rob Van Vuuren.
