Having wandered too far from his original dream of writing and directing, Uzanenkosi started Ants Multimedia (ants) to create opportunities to write and direct.  Re-establishing himself as a creator first, Uzanenkosi originated ants & Quizzical Pictures Peabody and SAFTA awards winning InterSEXions; and Ants and Ochre Moving Pictures’ Greed and Desire. 

Through Ants, Uzanenkosi wrote, directed and produced uSkroef no Sexy (In Kgantse and Kenny’s paradise), the first and only straight-to-DVD feature to be production financed by the National Film Video Foundation.  In this film, many South Africans met and fell in love with The Wunderboys – uSkroef no Sexy.  Soon after, uSkroef no Sexy was adapted into uSkroef no Sexy (Chasing The South African Dream), an etv dramedy series that almost derailed the franchise. 

In 2010, Uzanenkosi was recognised as an Outstanding Talent – Director by Multichoice’s Film Talent Incubator.  In the same year, Uzanenkosi was selected as one of only six directors in the world to attend the U.K. National Film and Television School’s (NFTS) director series. 

Uzanenkosi has written, directed, and produced When Days Are Dark, Sika and Ben9 for Mzansi magic’s bioscope. In addition, Uzanenkosi produced Home Coming and Mob Justice and was showrunner and co-producer on The Alliance scripted miniseries.  Mother Of All, a female-led crime drama created by Uzanenkosi and commissioned by etv, wrapped development in December 2021, opening the door for The Zulu Martyrs, White Terror and The Wunderboys.
