Temwa Gondwe holds the position of Senior Manager, Intra-African Trade Initiative at African Export Import Bank. In his role, he is responsible for supporting the implementation of the Bank’s intra-African trade initiatives which are key to facilitating the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement. These initiatives include leading the Creative Africa Nexus Programme and the deployment of the Bank’s Diaspora Strategy.

For a period of 15 years prior to joining Afreximbank, Temwa held various senior technical positions in trade, finance and development; for governments, regional, continental and multilateral financial and development organisations including the World Bank and USAID.

Temwa holds an MBA from the Edinburgh Business School, an MA in Economics and Trade Law from Lund University, and BA in Economics from University of Malawi.
