Ms. Shari Hammond is a Manager under the African Export Import Bank’s Creative Africa
Nexus (CANEX) program. In her role, she supports the implementation of the Bank’s flagship
CANEX initiative facilitating the growth of Africa’s creative industries.
She has over ten years’ experience of various technical positions as an international
development and project management expert for multiple stakeholders spanning from
governments, regional, continental, and multilateral financial and development organisations
including the African Development Bank, the World Bank and the International Trade Centre.
Moreover, Ms. Shari Hammond, as a cultural entrepreneur, co-founded a film festival in France,
NollywoodWeek Film Festival, gathering over 3,000 festival-goers annually and supporting
international distribution deals for filmmakers. She holds a Master’s degree in Public and Private
Administration in Africa from Reims University, France. She also holds a Bachelor (LL.B)
Double Degree in Common and Civil Law from Paris I Sorbonne and Paris 10 Universities.
