Adapt, Evolve, Overcome
Changing environments and continuous shifts in the film industry have produced a stream of new ideas, powerful voices influencing our society and new technology to create industry creators across the continent. This rapid acceleration breaking down the norms of the film industry and in order for African film to survive, together we must adapt, evolve and overcome.
Content Shop
Curated to reflect the unique African story, the DFM Content Shop is a digital catalogue of African projects ready for sale and distribution to sales agents, programmers and distributors.
New at DFM 2022 – Animation
Following the inclusion of animation in the 2020 DFM edition, this year the DFM Pitch and Finance Forum will include 10 animation projects in development as its own strand in the pitching sessions creating a new platform of opportunities for animators on the continent.
Delve deeper into the African Animation community as we facilitate new levels of engagement through dialogue sessions, panel discussions and physical networking.
New at DFM 2022 – New Voices
This industry programme stream will highlight the works of filmmakers changing the narrative in both the established film spaces and the alternative spaces; film practitioners who work with new models bringing in pertinent and difficult conversations into the film industry at large.
