The Rous brothers strive to represent a God-centered worldview in their productions. Meren Reddy joined the company in 2015 and has since become a majority shareholder in RHP International. Meren’s talents as one of the most awarded head writers in the country have brought RHP International a new depth of skill. Meren, Josh and Luke all executive produced the SABC 3 prime time daily drama “High Rollers” which started as a 26 part hour long drama and became a 300 episode daily drama broadcasting 5 days a week and selling across the world to multiple territories. Producing experience: Some career highlights include a Rose D’Or nomination for best comedy series, Best SA short film at the Durban International Film Festival, screening at the Cannes Short film Corner and the SAFTA award winning drama series High Rollers which moved from a 26 part hour-long drama to a 300 part daily drama and which has sold to multiple territories around the world. Among the 16 SAFTA’s received for productions RHP International has produced, highlights include best writing for a telenovela (2017), best directing for a telenovela (2017) and best post production (2018) best telenovela (2018). International co-production: RHP International is focused on developing relationships with international partners who wish to enjoy the many benefits shooting in South Africa can offer a production. To this end, Luke Rous has been travelling to international film festivals and markets around the world for the past number of years and making connections with international partners. Luke was invited to attend IFF (International financing forum) held in Toronto in 2018 as well as Fin Partners Co-Production market in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This effort has resulted in RHP International being awarded development funding from the NFVF (National Film and Video Foundation of South Africa) and the CMF (Canada Media Fund) for the development of an 8-part historical gold rush mini-series. RHP International has also partnered with BET and local VOD platform Showmax to co-produce the comedy series Black Tax and as the majority IP shareholder, RHP international is now selling the series internationally.
