Jessica Hagan currently sits as Program Lead, Arts & Culture for Africa No Filter and works on grantmaking, capacity building and programming across Africa within the Arts & Culture space. Her involves ensuring the organisation is supporting and propelling groundbreaking narrative changemakers on the continent. Jessica moved to Accra, Ghana from London in 2018, and worked as Arts Project Manager for British Council Ghana & West Africa, using cluster-based programming to support creatives in Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal and Sierra Leone. Her firm knowledge of Africa’s booming creative industry has helped her develop a strong portfolio of creative practitioners, organisations and funders who contribute to this ecosystem. In 2021, Africa No Filter made an investment of $1.5million into the Arts & Culture and Media sectors through 97 grantees and 5 research projects. Jessica is also a multiple award-winning published playwright and screenwriter.
