Sphesihle Dlamini started off as a film director for a number of Mnet and Etv productions then later moved to being a Location and Facilities specialist at the KZNFC. She has facilitated many subsequent productions through the KZN Film Commission including Uzalo, Imbewu, Keeping up with the Kandasamy’s, The Queen, The River, FIAP Congress, some NetFlix productions and many more. Sphesihle also facilitates and organises Familiarisation Tours across KZN to showcase locations to Local and international filmmakers. Delegations from Thailand, Kenya, UK, US as well as National and Provincial film producers have been a part of some of these Fam Tours hosted through the KZNFC.

Having worked on films, television programmes, documentaries and Music videos such as ‘Distance’ by Omarion, she looks at assisting filmmakers to gain access to the KZN province, meet all their production needs and attain proper permits with no hassle and recommend experienced crew, service providers and facilities. She prides herself in getting film service providers to partner with the KZNFC in order to provide discounted rates to filmmakers interested in filming in the province.
