Born in Bucharest and raised between Romanian and Germany, Diana studied animation and media at the Stuttgart Media University and started her career in animation doing work for both commercials and games before pursuing further education at the Vienna Film Academy in Digital Arts. In 2017 she moved to Ghana where she built an organization, AAFFia, that helps African animators access the international industry through capacity building, workshops, talent exchanges and an annual international animation film festival. With partners such as Annecy and MIFA, British Council, the French embassy in Ghana and Nigeria, AAFFia has successfully held workshops and facilitated exchanges for talent in Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa and the UK. During her studies at the National Film and Television School in London, where she graduated with a distinction in Creative Business, Diana worked for Charisma.ai, a company dedicated to powering characters in the Metaverse and Potboiler Production on the new Sky Show “Funny Woman”. Diana is currently a freelance creative producer working independently with her own production company, Curious Entertainment, focusing on promoting stories from diverse voices and developing projects with a local feel and global appeal, as well as Wildbrain Family International where she develops animated shows for young digital audiences.
