Bio

Tolsi is an award-winning journalist and arts practitioner. He was the 2016 South African Arts Journalist of the Year, the 2017 Ruth First Fellow & Heinrich Böll Journalism Fellow. He directed, produced & curated the Marikana – Ten Years On exhibition & public engagement programme at the 2022 National Arts Festival & is directing a film about jazz music and politics titled Chasing the Rainbow.
