Lala Tuku is an award-winning multi hyphenated seasoned executive in the creative arts, communication, and marketing industry. Her passion for the arts dates over 2 decades. Tuku has extensive experience in the South African Theatre, Film and Television industry. She has seamlessly moved from stage, in front of the camera to behind the scenes. From acting, directing , research, funding, content development, producing and ultimately to broadcasting. Tuku has an intimate understanding of the local Arts, Film and Television Industry, strong business acumen and good communications skills and stakeholder management expertise . Tuku has gained international experience by participating in global TV and Creative Markets and is driven by impact. Tuku is currently the Head of Content for the national broadcaster (SABC), serves on the NFVF board and is Chairperson of African Rising International Film Festival.
