Session Description
Audiences play a key role in sustaining the culture of cinema and ensuring its future. This panel looks at filmmaking collectives and organisations from across Africa who work to cultivate and retain audiences through different methods and models. We discuss the importance of developing grass root audiences; the necessity of showcasing independent African cinema to them; and how technology plays a role in securing a future for the cinema industry.
